There are moments when the past and the future seek each other again— inside the bodies and lives of a generation standing at the edge.
過去と未来が 再び互いを求め始める 瞬間がある—— 縁に立つ世代の 身体と人生の 内側で。
In December 2024, forty leaders and elders from around the world walked the ancient paths of Kumano.
At Koyasan, forty young people joined them.
2024年12月、 世界各地から四十人のリーダーと年長者たちが 熊野の古道を歩いた。
高野山で、四十人の若者たちが合流した。
No one instructed them how to be. No one facilitated what emerged.
Yet within days:
誰も「どうあるべきか」を教えなかった。 誰も「何が生まれるか」を促さなかった。
それでも数日のうちに——
Care circulated without assignment.
Creativity arose without competition.
Silence taught without words.
Responsibility was taken without recognition.
配慮は指示なく巡った。
創造性は競争なく現れた。
沈黙は言葉なく教えた。
責任は認識を求めずに引き受けられた。
The field itself was doing the work.
場そのものが 仕事をしていた。
This was the threshold:
the discovery that pilgrimage is not preparation for life— it is a way of living that modernity forgot how to sustain.
これが閾（しきい）だった——
巡礼は人生の準備ではなく、 近代が持続させる方法を 忘れてしまった ひとつの生き方であるという発見。
年齢も国籍も違う私たちが一つになれる瞬間が何度もあり、人と「場」が持つ可能性に気づきました。
The summit wasn't "service"—it was a field of gifts. That made the space profoundly comfortable and kind.
高野山・奥之院で深い静けさと安心に包まれ、自分を信じて歩いてきた先人たちの気配をはっきり感じました。
Words emerged like poetry after shared silence. I've never experienced listening like that.
「私はあなたで、あなたは私」——内と外の境界がほどけ、世界と自分のつながりを身体で理解しました。
Something had begun that would continue beyond any one gathering.
始まったものは 一度の集いを超えて 続いていく。
