Summit
Before temples, before shrines, before the first word was given to god— there were paths.
寺院が建つ前、 神社が祀られる前、 神への最初の言葉が 捧げられる前—— 道があった。
Paths that wound through forests and over mountains, along rivers and into valleys where something still waited.
Not destinations— but thresholds.
Places where the boundary between the human world and something older grew thin.
森を縫い、山を越え、 川に沿い、谷へと入る道—— そこには今も 何かが待っていた。
目的地ではなく—— 境界。
人間の世界と、 もっと古いものとの 境が薄くなる 場所。
Those paths still exist. The thresholds remain. In Kumano. In Koyasan. In the mountains that have held pilgrims for a thousand years.
その道は今も存在する。 境界は残っている。 熊野に。 高野山に。 千年の間 巡礼者を抱いてきた 山々に。
Each year, we gather.
Not to learn something new, but to remember what the land already knows.
We walk together. We keep silence together. We offer ourselves back to the source.
毎年、私たちは集う。
新しいことを学ぶためではなく、 土地がすでに知っていることを 思い出すために。
共に歩く。 共に沈黙を守る。 自らを、源へと 捧げ返す。
